Three posts in one day? I KNOW!!!

I have the answer to the time question. Are you ready? You have to steal it! LOL! Maybe even fib a bit. Ha Ha! You know, say your going to the restroom but secretly sneak in 2 minutes locked in your bedroom pasting away like mad.

Okay, so I didn't come up with some ingenius solution. What can I say? I suck. :)

I just wanted to post this card really quickly. It will be my last blog post til' Monday when I do the drawing. I must take care of grams for the remainder of the week so NO CRAFTING from me. But I won't forget to come back and yell the winner. So check back!

Here is my card:

Happy Hauntings all the way on this one. I am hoping to explore this cartridge a lot more in the next few weeks. Peachy Keen for the face. (I just love PK!!!) This is for my dear friend Andrea. We never seem to connect with our schedules and I miss her. (AS I DO ALL MY FRIENDS!) So I am suggesting to meet for a drink. Whether it be a cocktail or a coffee. I don't care what, I just want to sit for an hour and catch up on her life. I think she'll get a huge kick out of it. Or at least I hope she will.

So thats it. I am outta here for the week.(I will be sneaking around posting blog love when I can.) HAVE AN AMAZING WEEK!

Who wants Cuttlebug stuff?!

Alright, alright. You've been sooooo very patient with me on this. Thank you.
Here is what I have up for grabs. No fancy presentation. No hoops. All you need to do is be is a follower and leave a comment on this post. I guess the ONLY thing you really have to do is leave me a way to contact you if you win. I will use a random number generator to pick the winner this time. I will announce who it is on Monday.

Thank you all so very much for taking the time to comment on my projects, it really makes a difference on my "drive" to get out to the craftroom. Your feedback is very important to me. And I want to welcome all my new followers as well. I am not sure where you found me, but I am so glad you did! When you leave comments I can click on you and follow you as well. And that my friends is a true joy!~

Hurray Its TUESDAY!

I don't have a clue why thats a good thing. But its better than a Monday. ;)

I TRIED to post pics of the cuttlebug folders for you today but the computer I am on will not let me. So I will try again tonight.

I went around and checked on a bunch of blogs today from the circle. WOW! Is all I can say. So inspired! Now, all I need is some time. Anyone know where I can pick some spare time up? I already know what I am cooking for dinner, I sat down and payed my bills, so that shaved like 30 minutes off what I needed to do tonight. Wonder what I will come up with in that amount of time? Wish me luck and look for one more post from me tonight! Hope everyone is having a great day.

Wicked

Here is a card I made for my nephew who is a racing maniac. In fact, the whole family races and they ALL walked away with first place trophies. Pround auntie here folks!!!

I used my new "DUDE" cartridge for this one. I just had to have it. We USED to fourwheel. Notice the sarcasm? Anyways, one day I hope to get back to it. So I'll have the cartridge ready for those times. And if I don't, well, it has a ton of images that are just so great for guys and teens.

Two projects today.

The first project posted was a butterfly card. (Obviously!) Cut at 5.75 inches using the Hanna Montana Cartridge. I have to admit, I thought I'd have no use for this cart originally and look how often I reach for it?! Love the font and butterflies on this cartridge. It has a really great bird on there as well. I used My Minds Eye for the paper as well as some glitter cardstock and stickles.

The second project was for a coworker of mine. I had plan to do more with it, but I got injured so it went out as is. He loved the thought and the kids loved the suckers. So it was a winning situation all the way around.

As for yesterday's procedure, it went well. I hope to up and running by next week. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Now On To Regular Programming

Okay, first off --- Thank you all for your kind words and understanding. Thank you for letting me vent. But I am done now. :) I am done being upset by something out of my control. Won't promise it won't happen again, but I have my big girl panties on and am acting like a grown up now. So thanks for being here for me. It was a mild crisis, but its nice to have friends. Even online ones!

My solution was to request a power cord. If that does not solve the problem then back to HSN it goes. If it does, than I try it out like crazy to see if its something I want to keep. If I don't think its for me, than back to HSN it goes. Pronto. BUT if I like it and it works, well I am calling HSN ASAP and getting a three year warranty put on the sucker. So thats my plan. If you all don't mind saying a little prayer and crossing any extra fingers and toes, I'd be appreciative. :)

NOW - enough about the imagine. And off to be thankful for what I do have and what does work. My beloved E. This is what I created with her.

I originally made this for a challenge. But I am not going to submit it. I am giving it away as a Halloween Treat Box. She's a cheerleader treat box. Not very halloweenish, but I think the little girl will love it because she got to go out on the local football field and perform last year around this time and I hope she gets a kick out of it. I know I would if I were 6... I think she turned out really cute. I used My Minds eyes for the background paper and frame. Regular cardstock for the rest. The chearleader and her accessories were cut out from the everyday paper doll cartridge. I lost my note on this one. But I think she's cut at 4 inches. The frame is cut at 6 inches. The box was cut using fit to page and using the TBBM cartridge.

Thats all for now. Have a wonderful night!

Dead On Arrival

How is that for ripping the bandaid right off?

Yes ladies (I don't think any guys follow me?) anyhow... Yes ladies... The imagine is dead. I kid you not. I am so dissappointed and frustrated. It sucks. I mean really, I am no worse off than I was before. I still have my E and all. But man, I REALLY was excited by the possibilities. I looked at all the posts. I was eager. And now, utterly deflated. Which is sad and wrong. I know this. I know that alot of you were unable to get one. So I am sorry for my pettiness. I really should just put my big girl panties on and take it like an adult. And I will. Tomorrow. After I sulk for a few hours.

My only hope lies in PC. Maybe they can get me a new power cord. I "think" thats all thats wrong with it. I couldn't get beyond it not powering up to know if anything else is wrong. It has power to part of the cord. But where it goes into the black box with the LED light, I lose it. And of course they made it so that the other half of it has a "unique" end for just their product. GRRRR!!!!

My other option is to return it to HSN. They will refund my shipping once they recieve my package. Nice of them, eh? Anyhow, they have to wait to get it back before a new one can ship. And no, they can not ship a new one as soon as it comes in because its on BACKORDER. She said she would just be honest with me and let me know that I am looking at the end of October to the beginning of November. YIKES.

So tomorrow I will call pc and see if they can just send me a cord. If so, that would be faster and hopefully the machine is technically sound? I don't know what else to do really. November?! Double yikes.

I guess another thing that is bothering me is that it was opened prior to me getting it. You know, the telltale tape over existing tape? The cardboard was not properly placed for the housing either. I did get new cords, dvd, and inks. The main screen had a film that barely was on the window. Like it was placed back on after a demo and wouldn't stick. I am fighting with myself. Maybe I should just send the whole thing back. You know it wouldn't normally bother me that it was demoed. But when you shell out that much money, you expect "new". I wanted to be the one to first dink around with it. You know? And now I can't say for certain that I am.

So, thats my night. I won't die or anything. But I am extremely disheartened by the whole event. Hope everyone has a better night than I did. Hugs to you all. K

Its a great day!

It's here! It's here! It's HERE!!!

Okay, in case you didn't catch that, my Imagine baby is here! Mom just called and said she put it in the house. Uh oh, do I feel a sniffle coming on? Oh,no, I think I have a fever. I better go home right? Wouldn't want my coworkers to get sick do I??? LOL! Okay, I am not that bad. But oh so tempting!

I also reached my 150th follower today. YEAH!!! So I will be thinking of a giveaway and will keep you all posted on that too.

Have an amazing day my friends!!!

Grandparents Day Card

Well, here is the card Jaryd and I put together on Grandparents Day. I forgot to post it. We were in quite the hurry that morning. So the edges did not get inked. And the saying on the inside is incorrect. It was suppose to read "You don't need a bunch of eyes to SEE that your the best grandparents." Oy! What was I doing? Oh well. They didn't notice and neither did I until after I'd already given it. Thats what you get for being in a hurry. Totally my fault. But I like the card overall. Think he's a cutie pootie! Found him on the Boys will be boys cartridge. Cut him out at 4.25". Used random scraps of paper that Jaryd picked out. J did the gluing. So joint effort on our part. Enjoy!

PS... Can't help but realize I am one away from 150 followers. How did that happen? Now I know some people have several hundred... But shoot, I was happy to just have 2!!! Each one of you taking the time to follow me means a ton. I can't even properly word how it makes me feel. Thank you all for doing it and for all your wonderful comments. I think that when I get that magic number I shall have another drawing. Now to decide a prize. Would you like a cart drawing? Stamps? Inks? Let me go see what I can come up with. Have a great day!

Trying hard not to whine...

But WHY isn't it HERE yet?

If you've just tuned into this blog, no I am not usually a wiener. I mean, whiner! And I am talking about the Imagine. That beautiful, 40 pound, behemoth of a printing/cutting machine. It is due to arrive on my doorstep technically on the 24th. So really, I have absolutely NO REASON to be such a turd. But I am. I wanna play. It seems like everyone is getting theirs or has already received them.

I think I am driving my mom insane. She lives next door, so I have her on the lookout for the UPS man. I even went as far as to give her strict instructions to call the moment it arrives. But does she call? NO! So I do call her? Um, yeah. Guilty! I swear, she didn't answer the phone last time and I nearly went insane. Okay, so its not that bad. But its close!

And here is something for you. I am suppose to have surgery Friday. (Not life threatening or anything) but its a 3 day recovery. Do I plan to take three days and lay flat on my back when there is the IMAGINE 50 steps away? Uh no!!! Not my plan at all. I am praying that I'll be up and at the very least be able to sit close to it and push the paper in and hit some buttons. If all else fails, I guess I can just drool over the new cartridges that are suppose to come with it. But see, I just really NEED it to get here so I can play with it BEFORE friday. Yep, I am pathetic!

Teapot Favors

I had an order for 90 of these. So thats 180 images to cut out for the teapots. I used the Savory cartridge (LOVE THIS CART!)and cut it at 3.5". Most of it was cut using Colorbok paper that Marilyn brought with her. The boxes were cut at 6.25" using TBBM cartridge and white or beige cardstock. I only cut the images for her and gave her the idea. I let her put together the boxes and embellish them. I wish I could have done them all for her, but I am really under the gun on my time schedule right now. Besides that, she is a hands-on person and wanted to help. It was for her party afterall. :)

You know what came out of it all? I turned her into a paper crafter!!! Don't you just love that? She normally works with beads, but she found this so fun and relaxing that I do believe I have another scrappin' buddy. :) She embellished them with leftover buttons and flowers. I showed her all about the wonders of stickles - she is good to go! But I just had to show off the one I made up for her to get her started... I think its so cute. It will make an extraordinary tablescape for her giant tea party. Which she invited me to. I can't wait!

A couple more things made out of diapers.

What can I say? I am on a roll. Pretty sure these are my last "diaper" things I am going to create for awhile. But it was so fun to do. :)Obviously, not totally done with the wreath. Thats pretty bare. But I haven't run across just the right stuff to put on there. So you "might" see that again at a later date when its finished. But if not, at least I posted this much!

Still not moving around as well as I'd like, but I spent a few minutes out in the craft room tonight. Mostly just sat there looking at my space with a look of total perplexion. Which must have been something because the neighbor kid could see me and shouted "are you okay?" Too funny. No, kid, I am not okay. I have a crafting dilemma of gargantuan proportions. Okay, more like a 30" x 22" x 18" or something like that. Ha Ha! I know alot of people would like to be in this quandry, but WHERE am I going to put the Imagine?! I am totally stumped on this one. I don't want to give up anything but I am pretty sure I will have to! WHY couldn't my hubby have built my craft room bigger?! LOL! Maybe I will kick Jaryd out of the fort above? Yeah, he wouldn't go for that. Hmmmm.... I'll keep thinking on it.

"Imagine" my excitement & a project

If you haven't heard me say this before, listen up! I have the best husband in the freakin' world. The very best I tell you!

I was not on the fence. I was not going to get the Imagine. I was not interested. HOWEVER I wanted to watch the launch and see what this baby could do. Add to the fact that it was a whole day of craft stuff on HSN, you bet I was going to get SOMETHING. Just hadn't planned on that big.

Short of it is, I was banged up pretty good from a fall and decided enough was enough. I was calling it a night before I could inflict more injury on myself or others. Got all settled in to watch the show and it just got started when the hubby walked in. So I shushed him. I did! I feel really bad about that now. But I couldn't HEAR!!! Lol!

He didn't even blink. He looked at the tv screen and rolled him eyes. Walked over to the phone and brought it to me and demanded that I order it. Yep you read that right. Now ladies, when your hubby orders you to get something crafty do we question it? HELL NO! I ordered that bad girl right away. My momma didn't raise a fool.

Was I scared to death of the price? You bet! Did I have a bunch of concerns? You bet! Did that stop me? No way. So coming to my house this 24th is my new baby. I wait with great anticipation. Which is hilarious to me. I really didn't even want it. But the more info that I get on it, I am intrigued. This is going to rock. And I keep telling myself, if I hate it, I can return it. So I am feeling much better. My only "real" concern is the ink usage. And not being able to refill here locally. That part bothers me. So I plan to put that baby thru its paces for my alotted time. If I detest it, it goes back. But something tells me I will fall in love. :)

Now --- On to the project I was yackin' about.

Don't you just love it? Obviously no cricut, but it can't be all about the cricut right? This was so fun to make. I haven't made many of these before, but each time I do, I get excited all over again. If only more of my friends would have babies!

Thank you also to all my new followers. I am touched by all of you ladies. Your comments mean alot to me and I enjoy visiting all of your blogs in return. Have a beautiful night everyone. ~

The Stork Has Arrived!

I have been busy, busy, busy with all things diapers! More posts of projects to follow in the next few days. Cut the stork from "New Arrival" out at its maximum 11.5inches. Just a note, even if you change mat sizes and do fit to length, the max you get is 11.5. Dang it! Anyways, worked out fine for what I wanted to do. If there is a trick to make it larger, do tell! But thats as big as I could get it. The receiving blankets came in a package of four. So I had three inside the bundle along with some of those extra diapers and then tied it up with the fourth blanket. Cut two stork images (remember to flip one if your going to try it) and sandwiched a small down in the center of them. Poked the dowel down into the bundle and TADA!!! Instant (and adorable) table decoration for a baby shower. What a great take home gift too. Enjoy!

Baby Sock Bouquet

A little while ago my back was out. Nothing new there... However, I had a package of baby socks sitting there and some babyspoons laying close by from a recent shopping trip. I sent my kiddo out to the craft room to get the floral tape (several tries later, he brought the right stuff) and I was off to twisting and finagling those little buggers into baby roses. Aren't they cute? When I got to where I could walk again, I rounded up a flower pot and inserted a piece of floral foam into it. Popped in the flowers and added grass to finish it off. Hope you like how it turned out.
