Birthday Card

This is the card I made for Teri's birthday. The dragon on the inside does not coordinate with the card on purpose. I was being a smart_ss about needing help lighting all her bday candles. Technically she's a month older than me. So I have a small window of opportunity to give her a hard time. Fortunately, she still loves me. :) I am blessed!

Miscellaneous Cards

This should be the last of my v-day cards. The snail card was for my son. The stamp says "be mine or else" - yep, nothing more threatening than a snail. LOL! Wish I would have done a star wars card to coordinate with his bucket but I had already made the card before I thought to do a bucket. The card was quickly flung aside anyways. He was too crazy about the bucket. Like mother, like son. Its all about the chocolate. :)

Many of you know that I am psuedo aunt to Brock, my besties son. It is such an honor for me to be in his life like that. His mama worked really hard to get him here and let me say that I am so proud of that cutie patootie. I often send him cards in the mail so he has something to open. This card is just something I was trying pens out on. Trying to get the feel of them and see what I liked better or not. Took some scraps out of the bin and just kept it really simple. My favorite thing to do!

Hope everyone has a great day. Wish I could say that I was off to craft, but I'd be lying. I have to mop the stupid floor instead...

Pucker Up

This was for my bestest friend in the whole wide world. Teri, I love you! Now why would I give my bestie a pig card? Well, on our last camping trip together we were making smore's over the fire with those HUGE mellows. I admit, we had been under the influence... But regardless, it was FUNNY! When she took the mellow off her roasting fork it looked just like a pig nose. Then she got to messin' around, and all I gotta say is thanks to photoshop, her brother gave her a very nice souvenir picture. LOL!

So I just ran with it. And I think its adorable!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Is there anything sweeter than Elmo? Probably. LOL! I really am not an Elmo fan. But I just thought this turned out so well. Uber cute as my niece would say. I made this for Chloe's first Valentines day. And I used my Imagine... I know! I was shocked too. Its getting better. Just still so intimidating! I love printing sentiments with it. And it cuts so smoothly. Now don't get me wrong, I still go rounds with it! But for this card, all was forgiven. Sesame Seasonal Cartridge for Elmo. Tie The Knot for the random hearts. I know, we are past Valentines day. Sorry bout' that. I am a bit behind on posting. Happy PRESIDENTS Day to everyone too.

Made my own embossing folder

Made my own coordinating embossing folder for this one.

My mom got Chloe a giant bear to celebrate her first Valentines day. So I made a simple card to go with it for her. But it was rather plain. And usually I like that. But I was in the mood to mess around and not be done in two minutes. So I started playing with some mediums. Cut out the bears with my deep blade and VIOLA! Coordinating embossed image to tie it all together.

ooh la la!

Hee hee hee... Ya'll thought I could only do nice and cute type cards huh? Well... FOOLED YA! I may be a girl who is most comfy in jeans and tees but... Okay, I won't go there with you. :) LOL! I am cracking myself up today. This is my hubs valentines day card. It even got a smirk out of the man. So I'd say that it was a hit. Like the feathery edge peaking out the top? Its all in the details! This was a fun step away from my normal cards. The cut for the lingerie is on tie the knot. The stamps are from my friend Mich. No idea where she snabbed them, but they were perfect for this. I just used the word "naughty" to create the perfect background paper. And "bad girl" because doesn't this card just scream sinful?! Ha Ha Ha! Hope you love it!

Oh and here's the stamps used:

Star Wars Valentine Bucket

Okay, okay. I admit it... I got caught up in the bucket phase this year! Both my guys got them. They are just too easy and too fun to resist! All you need for this sweet thing is a couple 'star wars' sticker strips. ($1.00) The goodies for the inside. One sheet of 'star wars' paper. ($0.50) The bucket ($1.99) and BAM! You got yourself one powerful valentine any good jedi would be proud of!

Twilight Valentine ;)

Happy Valentines to you all! Here is a great Twilight Valentine bucket I made for my sweetie. He knows nothing about 'twilight' so this is really lost on him... LOL! But he likes the part where I think he's delicious, and he loves the treats inside. :) So it was a win - win situation for us both. I finally got to use up some of my T stash and I get to share it with all of you who DOES appreciate the book series.

This was so easy to make. To replicate or go further, start by getting a large paint bucket at your local scrap store. Grab a "Immortal" 8" x8" DCWV paper stack while you are at it and you'll have everything you need for this. (Don't forget whatever goodies you want to go inside!)I cut a 5.5" circle for the top of the can and very basic tag. Then I hunted thru the paper stack for the stickers and vellum sayings. Attached black and red ribbon from my stash for the handle. And finally used up that little metal pull chain that was sitting in my junk drawer. I had two of them so I used one for the hubs bucket and one for my sons (Which I will show tomorrow, its Star Wars related.) On the rose, I just had to stickle it with some clear. BECAUSE IT 'HAS' TO SPARKLE if its going to be something twilight right?

Hope you enjoyed todays project. Its so glad to be back to the living and posting. Happy Valentines Ya'll!

OUT SICK....

Just checking in real quick. People are starting to inquire about me being MIA... (thank you for that!)

Turns out everyone in my family thought it would be grand to get sick. But not all at once. No... We like to spread things out abit. So yeah, its my turn. I am tired, exhausted, and just plain icky. So I'll be missing for a few more days. Thanks for bearing with me and the well wishes.
