PDDU Series

Greetings ladies and gentlemen! I am so excited to give you this weeks project. I was given PAGE 31 of the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. The 12" x 12" paper was Charcoal grey. The second layer on paper on top of the charcoal was from Formal Affair from DCWV cut 11.5" x 11.5" - Just letting the charcoal peek thru. Kind of "grounding" the layout I think.

The decorative boxes for images and notes is from Lacy Labels. (2) at 4", (1) 1.75", and (2) 5"
The arbor was made using accessory 3 at 4.5." I cut it out once in white and trimmed off the petals. Then I proceeded to cut it three more times in green. It doesn't show it well in the photo, but that trellis is raised like a 3d image. I even chalked it. So it turned out so pretty! Then I added few paper flowers and set white beads in the center to complete the affect.

The bouquet is cut at 3" and added my own bow. I thought I'd put the wedding date in the box it sets on. Lettering was cut from the Jasmine cartridge at 2"'s.

I did something different with the bride. She was cut at 3.75" but instead of facing her forward, I had her back to us. Cutting her hair 4 times and layering it so the tendrils fall casually. Once the wedding dress was cut, I deepened the cut with regular scissor to give it a "open back" look. And if you look really really close, I used a rub on tatoo on her shoulder. Isn't that fun? The veil I cut out of paper, then I used tulle and added some additional flowers. Topping it all with swarski crytals into the netting and also on the crown she wears. Burned the crap out of my fingers but I loved designing her.

On the second page I used French Manor table that was found on page 33 and cut at 3.25." Then I grabbed the PDDU cartridge right back and cut the cake at 3.25." I cut off the handle thing on the cake because it looked stupid. Sorry but it did. Added more flowers to tie it all in and then I used white applique to puff up the cake's piping and added some glitter right before it cooled. I layed the smaller bouquet on the table and again used the burgandy ribbon in my stash to tie it all together.

The gift boxes were accessory 2 and cut at 3.75", 2.75" gray, 6" and 4.5"pink, 4.75" and 5.25"green.

Sort of a labor of love on this project. I enjoyed the entire process and love how it turned out. I would be interested to hear your thoughts as well.
