Standing at my loved ones graves, looking at the dates, it hit me. Everything about them summed up by a birthdate, a dash, and a date of death. How can something like a insignifacant "dash" represent an entire life? I thought about that as I plucked a few weeds and laid the flowers. Scrapbooking and documenting our lives is so very important. I vow to get better at it. I want my family to know my faults, my quirks, my kindness. I want them to know me - beyond a simple dash and a couple of dates. But even more than that. With or without scrapbooking, I want my dash to count. I want my life to matter. Here's to making that dash count!
Hope everyone remembers their loved ones this weekend and always. God bless.
Just2Ducky, your life does count!!! And, God Bless you!

ReplyDeleteYour so sweet! I have been thinking about my Dad who has passed, and plan on making a scrapbook just for him, after reading your message I feel even more motivated to do it for him!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. I try to educate my only kid on the importance of it but I do not know if I will be successful or not.
